Musicos Take Milan!
12 December 2023Musical theatre, marine marvels and Roman and Renaissance architecture… all was on the itinerary of Ms. McGuinness’s Magical and Musical Fifth/Sixth Year Trip to Italy! Ms. Fay and Mr. O’Neill, maestros in their own right, were also onboard, providing their guidance and expertise. Fair (and posh) Verona was first on the agenda, and the students were finally able to put a place to their JC text as they visited the House of Juliet (yes, that Juliet!).
Mr. Carvill would have approved of the specimens on display at the ‘Magic Winter at Gardaland’ but the Music syllabus came to the fore with the tour of Museo Teatrale Alla Scala, including performance. Of course, the cultural and culinary delights of Milan, Verona and the beguiling Peschiera del Garda played a central part in the tour, and all returned well fed and beveraged, if a bit ‘good and tired’!
