Junior School Active Flag Pursuit Begins with Skipathon

Last week our Junior School students were gathered for a mystery assembly….abolition of homework? No. Extended summer holidays? Not a chance. The news that caused a sharp spike in excitement levels was…a Skipathon.
Mr. Magee has boldly set out to aquire an Active Flag for our Junior School. The two year journey involves a plethora of active themes, with skipping taking centre stage for our first challenge. The premise is simple- Skip Around the World. Students have 3 weeks to skip from Ireland to the South Pole via Mont Blanc, the Great Pyramids of Giza and more with one skip equating to 1km travelled. Can they pull this mammoth feat off? Stay tuned for more….
