23 June 2025We have been reporting First Year Daniel Karas’s amazing fencing exploits all year, and now the mainstream media has caught on. The Sunday Independent featured Daniel’s story recently and it is a harrowing but inspiring read. It adds considerable background and depth to a boy who has already won us over with his talent and charm. And check back here in August, as Daniel surely will be putting more adults to the sword!
Fencing has been part of St. Conleth’s since the beginning, and continues to thrive, but we have lost our association with another cultured sport of our early years: cricket. And losing touch with one’s roots is just not… well, just not cricket! Fifth Year Aoife Hayden may change all that, as she was recently named to Leinster’s U17 Interprovincial squad!
