A Conlethian Triptych!
22 January 2025Good things also come in threes! We have a trio of upcoming events which should tempt both alumni and parents to come out and gather in camaraderie and cordiality with their fellow Conlethians… especially, as the events start after ‘Dry January’…and you’ll be in the need of a little lift!
First up is the culmination of our 85th Anniversary Celebrations with an Alumni Dinner in London. We ‘did’ London for our 75th (The Cavalry and Guards Club); New York for our 80th (The New York Athletic Club) and now we will return to London (The Farmers’ Club) on February 15th, 2025, when Sir Patrick Grant (Class of 1971) will be the after dinner speaker. This is a great opportunity for our Wild Geese to gather again, remember the old times, hear what St. Conleth’s has planned for the future… and join the hipsters! Closer at home is the Junior and Senior Schools’ Parent Associations joint venture: a Quiz Night at the Maldron Hotel which will raise funds for blackout blinds in the hall, which will make our already impressive shows and celebrations even more spectacular! Please do come along on the night of February 27th and, if you can, even better: donate a suitable prize (contact your class reps).
And our tripartite partying ends (for now) with the annual Past Pupils Dinner on the very next night, February 28th! Yes, those lucky parents, who are also alumni, earn the right to back-to-back parties! The Classes of 1970, 1975, 1980,1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2020 will be out-shouted (and, perhaps, out-drunk) by the recent graduates from the Class of 2024… but alumni of all years are invited. Like Bilbo’s birthday, it will be a night to remember!
