Stone Aged!

Yes, the Conlethian D4-ers and SoCo-ers might have been forgiven for thinking that Irish culture began at Teddy’s on the Pier and ended at the Liffey, with a narrow extension into Terminal 2, but now they have no excuse: after Ms. Halpin and Ms. Speller bravely led a coach full of Fifth and Sixth Year Art and History Students into the hinterland of County Meath to visit the true heart of Irish culture: the Brú na Bóinne. Unfortunately, Mr. Weldon’s offer of a guided tour of his favourite watering holes was turned down, as well as the proffered free rendition of his one-man show, ‘Last Stand of the Croppies on Tara Hill’, but the gang still managed to pick up loads of relevant experiences and information at the Newgrange National Monument and Bective Abbey and the boreens, in between.
