Dublin à Pied!
20 October 2024Ms. Crowley is a legend amongst the staff for not wanting to miss any class-time (just like the rest of us, of course…). So, if she is going to take her students out of the friendly confines of the French Room, you know it will not be for a mere ‘lark in the park’. Last Friday, she and nineteen Fifth Years enjoyed Dublin à Pied, a French language tour of Dublin, delivered by the charming Alan, a young Irishman who somewhere along the way picked up mellifluent French and a French girlfriend… maybe not in that order. The tour served two purposes: it helped the students improve their conversational French and convinced them that there is more to Dublin than overpriced cappuccinos and understuffed burritos. And Alan was, in turn, impressed with the manners and accents of our boys and girls who, as usual, represented the school with pride and style.
