The 2026 St. Conleth’s Past Pupils’ Union Dinner

The 2026 St. Conleth’s College PPU Annual Dinner will take place in the school on
Friday 27th February 2026.

Traditionally, Past Pupils from milestone years attend in large numbers. We would recommend you book your ticket as soon as possible to avoid disappointment – it will be first come, first served and payment needs to be upfront and not on the evening. Tables will be set up per year.

We look forward to welcoming back Past Pupils to meet their old classmates as well as current and former teachers (guests of the Union) – and in particular to the classes of 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011, 2016, 2021 and the recent graduates from the Class of 2025.

Any year is welcome.

When: Friday 27th February 2026 — 7.30pm (sharp)
Where: St. Conleth’s College, Clyde Road
How: Black Tie (or dark suit)

Ticket Prices: €70 or €50 for those who’ve graduated in the last 5 years (Years: 2021 – 2024)
Class of 2025: €20 (refundable)

Tickets need to be bought in advance via the St. Conleth’s School website on PayzonePayzone
at https://platform.payzone.ie/customer/11335/product-list/details/90553 or via your Class Representative.

Please contact us at [email protected] if you have any queries. I look forward to meeting you on what is always a very enjoyable evening.

About the PPU

Why is it important to stay in touch and help each other, you may wonder?
Well, the reasons are manifold:

  1. Mentorship
Your experiences and achievements serve as a source of inspiration for current students. By staying connected, you can provide valuable guidance and mentorship to the next generation. Have a look at our SCAN newsletters.
  2. Networking
The alumni network is a valuable resource for personal and professional growth. It opens doors to new opportunities, collaborations, and partnerships.
  3. Support
In times of need, the alumni community can offer support, be it through advice, resources, or a helping hand. Together, we can overcome challenges more effectively.
  4. Giving Back
Many of you have already made significant contributions to the school, whether through donations, scholarships, or volunteering. Your continued involvement ensures that future generations can benefit from the same quality education.
  5. Friendship and Camaraderie
Reconnecting with old friends and classmates is a delightful experience. The Past Pupils Union provides a platform for reunions, events, and social gatherings.

We encourage you to take an active role in our alumni association, whether it’s by attending reunions, volunteering your time and expertise, or simply staying connected through our social media channels and newsletters.

We look forward to your participation and contribution to the continued success of St Conleth’s.

Alumni News

Style and Substance

Yes, our lone staff reporter has been seconded to other duties, so we are a bit slow in getting you the news… here are the belated highlights of our Class of 2025’s Debs night. We expected nattily dressed guys, and girls in gorgeous gowns, and we were certainly knocked out with the style, but we also […]

Please, DO take his Kodachrome away!

Due to our former staff photographer being shangaied into a new position, alumni thought they were safe from the dreaded ‘Alumni Selfie-Cam’… but they were wrong… as Oisin Power (2022), Paul Cahill (2001), Robert Somerville (2012) and Ross Wainer (2007) found out! Yes, we did try to take away his Kodachrome, but before he surrendered […]

“Mommmm! The Boys are Making…”

Candace would be shouting about these two, too! All of us boomer St. Conleth’s teachers have fond memories of alumni brothers, Kyrill (2012) and Artyom Zorin (2013): they were the Wozniak and Jobs of their time when they graced the halls of 28 Clyde Road, winning the Technology Section of the Young Scientist competition and […]

Alumni Cam!

Our serendipitous encounter with Anthony Steyn reminded us that we had other recent alumni news to share… Regarding Anthony’s own graduation year of 2022, comes news of a Beijing reunion. Oisín Power welcomed classmates Seamus Joyce, Ryan MacDonnell, Ignacio Sadofschi and Coleman Hegarty (2023) to China where Oisín is currently studying and teaching debating and […]

Is That You… Anthony?

Anthony Steyn (Class of 2022) was that rare ‘combo’ student at St. Conleth’s: very talented in Maths and the STEM side of things… but also able to tell and take a joke! All of us teachers enjoyed having his wit, warmth and bright-eyed enthusiasm in class. But when we happened to run into him on […]

Conlethian Clan Cultural Connection!

TY Naoise McCann was with his classmates on an art outing to the National Gallery… and he ran into one of his photographer father’s famous portraits of the artist Brian O’ Doherty. Fionn McCann (Class of 1991) is also a proud Conlethian! Fionn is a renowned portrait photographer. And Naoise’s TY friends (escorted by Ms. […]

The Debate is Over…

…and the motion has been carried: “That this House declares St. Conleth’s to be the greatest debating school in the land!”  Finley O’Dea (as is his wont) laid a few quid down at Paddy Power as the Conlethian contingent at the Leinster Senior Schools Debating Final was his little wager come up trumps (can we […]

London Called: We Answered!

The cultured but cosy confines of the understatedly named The Farmers’ Club was the site of our most recent Past Pupils Union foreign affair. We did London for our 75th (The Cavalry and Guards Club); New York for our 80th (The New York Athletic Club) returned to London a few weeks ago. The affable and […]

Welcome, Parents!

Last Friday morning, the Junior School opened their doors for the second ‘Celebration of Learning’ of the year. Parents from Junior Infants through Sixth Form were treated to a tour through this term’s learning by the most important people in the building (after Chef Mark)- the students! And, quite appropriately considering the Past Pupils Dinner […]

PPU… phew!

The dust has settled…the alumnus from the 80’s who was found sleeping in the stairwell has been sent home…and Clyde Road is back to its quiet, staid respectability… for another St. Conleth’s Past Pupils Union Dinner is in the books! Well done to new PPU President, Charles Crimmins, who wisely kept his address short and […]

Joachim’s Warm Memories!

Who remembers Joachim? Though only here for a year, 1990-1991, Joachim de Salazar Delfin left a significant impression on St. Conleth’s College… as we did on him. Joachim spent only Sixth Year with us in 1991-1992… and sat the Leaving Cert at 15-years-old. He even did Irish! No, Joachim was no snowflake! Joachim has many […]

Alumni with Attitude!

We told you we had some alumni snaps to share… here’s the Absolute Legend, Pat McGrath, and the Bürgermeister of Ballsbridge, Maurice Wright (2009). And Charles Crimmins (1990, PPU Pres.) with Theo Fitzgibbon (TBD); Emilio Sadofschi (2024), Centra worker and UCD Economics scholar; and a few recent snaps from the archives of The McGraths: Tony […]
