Rugby is Ruff!
8 October 2024Head of Sport Louis Magee welcomed three new teammates to the Junior School Rugby family. Daniel Stack, the Senior School’s inspiring Fitness Coach, joined the coaching ranks, and he brought the same winning mix of charm and professionalism to the pitch-side that he shows everyday in the Fitness Suite, even when the debaters show up. And then there were the two new players seen below, on the flanks of the Fourth Form team photo. We don’t know their names yet as they just joined the school after our spectacularly successful Open Morning, but they have already proved themselves the fastest (and furriest) No. 11 and No. 14 in the league! One disgruntled opposing coach questioned the age of the newcomers but we assured him that the two fleet-footed wings are actually just three or four years old! Or, maybe, 21 or 28… Anyways, we had four rugby blitzes around Dublin (@ Willow Park, St. Michael’s, St. Gerard’s and St. Mary’s) totalling 9 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses and, more importantly, great fun was had by all! Ruff! Ruff!
