… well, yes, it does matter but winning is okay, too! Mr. ODulaing avoided any Oscars-style overt political statements (except for the usual reference to Dublin GAA) at the Annual Awards Assembly and, aided by the string-pulling of Rory Clarke and the skin-bashing of James Moriarty-Smyth, he presided over a dignified yet joyous affair. It was great to see so many students rewarded for their talents and effort but even more pleasing was the general bonhomie and good sportsmanship which characterised the event: we like to win at St. Conleth’s but we know that friendship and teamwork are more important.
